Words to be a beacon in the black of night

Key: Snap Judgements

Within the last ninety-six hours, we have taken a new outlook on life. The choice to make life-long changes is imperative to our core. We must refocus the channel to, effectively, subtract the negative, and, in its place, add the positive. When our energies are producing instead of destroying, there awaits, open, our heart. An outer appearance will no longer be main concentration. Instead we will discover inner peace, beauty, and love.

We have come so far, as our battery is emitting an incredible light. With our beacon shining, we are able to connect, and correct each of our flaws. Our next challenge is to abandon our cookie-cutter rules.

With each passing year, we believe there are requirements to fit into life’s puzzle. Let us ponder this thought: one person’s “normal” may not fall true for another. Realistically, we are, each, created with an exclusive design, just as butterflies, cobwebs and snowflakes are. Sadly, individuality has given way to a skewed interpretation of conformity. This, in turn, has brought forth the “Extremist” (the “black-and-white” thinker), the “Labeler” (the “one strike and you are out” thinker, and the “Blamer” (the “this is all of your fault” thinker). The Blamer has beget the Labeler, who has beget the Extremist, who has beget Snap Judgements. We must not allow ourselves to believe that a particular group of people all live, or feel the same way we do. If one, in that group, has failed that does not mean the entire group is a failure. What, also, stands is this group should not be treated uniquely because they do not meet the standards of generalized normalcy.

The following steps in our journey show us a “Mile of Perception”.

“Therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith called. With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ”
-The Holy Bible, Ephesians 4:1-7
