From Chaos to the Cross

We need to be ready! Jesus is coming back! We need to stop playing church, all the while, only loving God on Sundays. We live in a dangerous territory if we are satisfied with being lukewarm (just warm enough not to feel the fire) for Jesus.

How would we feel if someone treated us like garbage until they wanted something from us? That is how many live their life for Jesus. They might say, “Lord, I love You, but I do not feel like serving You today in what You have asked of me. I am too scared.” So what they are saying is that they doubt God can, and will give them strength in the uncharted moments. Sometimes, they even try to push off their responsibility on someone else.

Let me say that when someone is unwilling in the small things God has asked, He will find a willing vessel. No, He will not move on right away, but, eventually, He will go to the next. God equips us, but when we stop Him, what a disappointment to Him! We are saying our doubt trumps His Mighty Power.

Salvation is not an act. It is a lifestyle. If it looks good on the outside, but it fails to reach our heart, what are we doing? Who are we trying to impress? Certainly not God! He sees, and knows our heart. You cannot hide from Him.

Now, there is hope! Even hope for the child who has wandered in the wilderness for a long, long time. Jesus is waiting with His arms opened wide. We must seek Jesus, and tell Him we are sorry for our mistakes. We must repent (apologize, and turn away from) of our sins. Not just say, “sorry”, but cry out to The Lord. “Jesus, I am a sinner. I am sorry I acted out against You. Lord, I love You. Thank You, Jesus, for Your forgiveness, and unfailing Love. I praise You. I worship You. I magnify Your Holy Name. You are The King of kings, and Lord of lords.”

We must die daily to our flesh, and submit to Jesus, with our whole heart, and life. No, we will never be perfect on this earth. However, when we put our flesh under subjection, and empty our lives of “self”, it is then that Jesus can begin His Work in us.

From chaos to the foot of the cross is where we will find healing, peace, comfort, restoration.

Revelation 3:15-6
[15] I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. [16] So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Luke 15:11-32
Luke 15:11-32 KJV
[11] And he said, A certain man had two sons: [12] And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me . And he divided unto them his living. [13] And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. [14] And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. [15] And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. [16] And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. [17] And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! [18] I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, [19] And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. [20] And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. [21] And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. [22] But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: [23] And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it ; and let us eat, and be merry: [24] For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. [25] Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. [26] And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. [27] And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. [28] And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. [29] And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: [30] But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. [31] And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. [32] It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

I Corinthians 9:26-7
[26] I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: [27] But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Ephesians 6:10-8
Ephesians 6:10-18 KJV
[10] Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. [11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. [12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places . [13] Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. [14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; [15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; [16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. [17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: [18] Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
